Join Busboys and Poets and Eastern Mennonite University as we welcome author Charles R. Epp to present his findings from his latest book Pulled Over: How Police Stops Define Race and Citizenship.
Charles R. Epp’s research focuses on law as an instrument of reform. He is the author of several books published by the University of Chicago Press such as The Rights Revolution: Lawyers, Activists, and Supreme Courts in Comparative Perspective, which won the C. Herman Pritchett Award of the American Political Science Association. Making Rights Real: Activists, Bureaucrats, and the Creation of the Legalistic State, which was named an Outstanding Academic Title by the American Library Association.Â
