Description:

Join KeLabe & Surrender 365 Fundraiser for Ghana Leprosy Colony

KeLabe is partnering with Dr. Celeste Ownes of Surender 365, to help raise funds for a cause that‘s dear to her heart. It is her organization's mission to help spread love to others around the world, who can’t help themself. It is our mission to collaborate with organizations, who have a purpose for their giving back, as it relates to forgiveness.

THE PROBLEM

Our prejudices towards others have caused generational unforgiveness, economical barriers, unrest in countries and countless other incidents that have harmed many for years.

Come out and share your journey to practice empathy towards others as a result of your own experiences.

DETAILS ABOUT THE CAUSE

OUR GOAL: Help Ghana Leprosy Colony to generate income and begin to feel like they are valued members of society

People who have been diagnosed with leprosy are generally rejected and abandoned by their families and left to fend for themselves.

The social stigma that they are not worthy or contagious often leads to complete isolation from mainstream society and feelings of extreme loneliness and despair.

Micro Loans generate their own income by purchasing items such as a sewing machine and fabric to sew clothes or food items that can be sold in the local marketplace. In addition to providing a source of income for the individuals in the leper colonies, micro-loan projects also provide each person with an opportunity to regain their sense of self-dignity and self-worth, and to build their self-esteem.
