Busboys and Poets and Citizens' Climate Lobby Present: OVERHEATED! Hot Takes on Climate Change, a new partnered series of discussions and exhibitions about climate change, climate activists, and climate voters.
Please join us Wednesday, November 20 at 6pm at 450 K Street for this month's event: "Crossing Borders - Climate Disruption and Immigration"
From detention camps, ICE raids, and shocking federal practices, US immigration policy has become explosively problematic. But what is the connection to climate change? Join climate and immigration experts to speak about how the two topics are interrelated. We will explore how climate disruption impacts developing countries, the role of climate advocacy to alleviate the immigration crisis, and how climate activism needs to change to be inclusive of immigrants and people of color.
