That’s the mission of University of Maryland Capital Region Health, the regional health system serving communities throughout the county. As the newest member of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), UM Capital is committed to delivering the innovative and comprehensive healthcare you and your family deserve close to home. The evolution of healthcare in the Prince George’s community has only just begun. In the coming months and years, residents can expect to see a wider range of health services provided close to home, including physician practices focused on health management and outpatient care. In 2021, a new state-of-the-art regional medical center in Largo will replace UM Prince George’s Hospital Center to improve the region’s access to specialty and hospital care services. And outpatient services will be expanded in Laurel, as well, through the development of a new medical campus.
