This month we are celebrating Latinos in local leadership in the spirit of service! Council Member At-Large Calvin Hawkins is working to build bridges between the Latinx and Caribbean communities in Prince George’s County by encouraging all to rise above the challenges we face personally and throughout society. This effort will serve as a vehicle to collect supplies for those impacted by the devastating hurricanes in Puerto Rico and The Bahamas. The evening will include musical performances and guest speakers The event is open to the public and includes free food! We are asking people to register online at www.CulturalCrossoverUMD.eventbrite.com and see the list associated with recommended supplies to donate. We hope to see you this Wednesday in the Zinn Room!
