A book club that explores anti-colonialism and anti-imperialism through literature, history, and lived experience. Together, we’ll read writers and thinkers who challenge empire, occupation, exploitation, and the lasting legacies of colonial rule, while examining movements of resistance, liberation, and self-determination in the United States and around the world.
This month, our club will discuss The Wretched of the Earth by Frantz Fanon.
Prepare for October's Book Club!
Next month, we'll discuss Freedom Is a Constant Struggle: Ferguson, Palestine, and the Foundations of a Movement, a 2016 collection of essays, interviews, and speeches by renowned scholar and activist Angela Y. Davis.
Beginning in October 2026, the Busboys and Poets Book Club will meet twice a month on the 2nd and 4th Sundays.
