National Federation of the Blind of the District of Columbia Seniors Division Luncheon Who We Are The National Federation of the Blind of the District of Columbia, (NFB of DC) Seniors Division is a nonprofit volunteer membership organization comprised of blind and interested sighted persons of all ages, their families and friends. Our committed affiliate senior divisions and committees, committees, programs, and well-trained leaders help newly older blind people adjust to vision loss and promote the full participation and integration of older blind people in our communities. We bring our collective experiences together to effect change at the local and national levels. As a proud division of the largest organization of the blind in the world, the Seniors Division works together to support one another in our efforts to change the misconceptions about blindness and to promote the positive qualities of each senior to live the life you want. We support one another, act with courage and determination when we encounter barriers or experience setbacks and engage in collective action to improve our lives.
