Description:

Lebanon is experiencing its most significant conflict escalation since the 2006 Lebanon War. The scale of destruction and the intensity of attacks have left hospitals overwhelmed. The airstrikes have targeted South Lebanon, the Bekaa Valley, and the southern suburbs of Beirut, which house two Palestinian refugee camps. These strikes have triggered  mass displacement, with over one million people fleeing their homes. Many displaced individuals have sought refuge in collective shelters.

In response to the escalating humanitarian crisis in Lebanon, Anera has swiftly assessed the needs of displaced individuals and initiated crucial interventions.

Join Samar El Yassir, Anera’s Country Director in Lebanon since 2011 to discuss ANERA's work in the region and the future of Lebanon.

Our interviewer for the event is Leena El-Ali, an international affairs, development, and investment professional with three decades of experience in conflict resolution and peacebuilding, entrepreneurship, and emerging market finance.
