About Jon Davis: Jon is a poet, highly sought after facilitator (13,000 hours in practice), potential catalyst, experience curator and a teacher at DC Bilingual's after school program called HIVE. He is the author of an inspirational collection of poems and letters called "becoming more human: words from the soul." He has a unique ability to create gatherings that activate our creativity, courage and ability to see ourselves in each other.
About Phoebee Jean: Phoebee is the product of Haitian immigrant parents. Raised in the church, her vocal sound stems from Haitian hymns and gospel influences. Phoebee currently works in the DC public school system and leads worship at her local church.
About Tahirah: Tahirah Fennell is a boundary stretching violinist and rising senior at Howard University majoring in music performance. She is classically trained but also plays to all music genres including Hip hop, R&B and Afrobeats to name a few. She is uniquely gifted at expanding the craft of the violin and how it can be used as a catalyst for inspiration, change and creativity. She is constantly learning new songs and ways to improvise that truly leave an unforgettable mark in the hearts of her audiences.
Notes:
*A portion of the night’s book/merch sales will also benefit two non-profits working to end educational inequity (DC Bilingual School and Communities In Schools - The Nation's Capital)
