Description:

Join us on May 5, 2024, at Busboys and Poets, to meet Tariq Habash, a former Biden administration political appointee to the US Department of Education who resigned from his position in protest against the United States' support for Israel's war on Gaza.

Tariq Habash, who is Palestinian American, said the Biden administration “does not value all human life equally.”

About Palestine Week & Palestine Week Extended

In keeping with our ongoing mission of uplifting racial and cultural connections, Busboys and Poets hosted Palestine Week (January 18 through January 25, 2024). This week-long series of events offered a diverse range of programming featuring Palestinian food, music, dance, poetry, discussions, and other enriching events.

Palestine Week Extended is a series of events that aim to extend the impact and engagement of Palestine Week, going beyond the designated week to further raise awareness and understanding about the Palestinian cause.

We hope that such events will lead to better understanding and help to create a more peaceful and tolerant world.
