Description:

Amaya was born on a winter night--and every experience and memory since then has become a part of who she is. She is a little bit of Mama and her Indian heritage and little bit of Papa whose mother left everything she knew in China for a new life. She is a little bit of the salty ocean and a little bit of the rolling storm. And when Amaya meets her new sibling for the first time, she knows just what to tell her. "You have a little bit of Mama in you, a little bit of Papa--and a little bit of me! You are you and nobody else. You are beautiful." With stunning, whimsical art, this book asks readers to celebrate their own uniqueness--and that of others. Winner of the Own Voices, Own Stories Award.

Meghana Narayan is joining us on the Busboys stage to share her debut children’s book. Copies of the book will be available for purchase during and after the event, and Meghana Narayan will be signing following the program.

This event is free and open to all. Our program begins at 5:00 pm, and will be followed by an audience Q&A. Copies of A LITTLE BIT OF EVERYTHING will be available for purchase before and after the event. Please note that this event is IN PERSON and will NOT be livestreamed.

We ask that guests RSVP in order to receive direct updates about the event from Busboys and Poets Books
