Description:

A Poet’s Perspective

Join Hillcrest Children and Family Center for our annual Evening Of Spoken Word hosted by DC's own Whiskey Girl and Preach. We will explore “What’s Going On?” in our city with the opioid epidemic and other contributing factors for substance use disorder. Local artists will embrace this theme and articulate it beautifully through the art of the spoken word. Attendees will also be treated to a musical interlude by a special surprise guest. Come experience the power of the poet at Busboys and Poets, Anacostia location.
