Description:

Join us in the Pearl Bailey Room for The “W” Word: A Multicultural Conversation on Whiteness.

A poetry showcase. An open mic. A panel discussion. The topic of whiteness. What do you get when you combine all four on the same stage? A one-of-a-kind event called The “W” Word: A Multicultural Conversation on Whiteness. Poets, panelists, and open mic artists alike will explore ways that white people can create change and stand as allies in the movement for racial equality in America. All proceeds will go toward Empower DC, an organization that promotes justice for poor and underserved communities in the district. Come... and be part of the change!
