Hailing from North Carolina, Anthony D. Oakes is a District of Columbia resident who is taking comedy on the east coast by storm. His clean, yet edgy, southern, intellectual, witty humor will have you reeling with laughter. Performance cities include: Atlanta, New York, LA, Chicago, Virginia, Maryland, and DC. He has graced the stages of The Broadway, The Westside, and The Greenwich Village Comedy Clubs, in New York City. You can catch him locally at: The DC Drafthouse, The Bier Baron Comedy Loft, The Wonderland Ballroom, and Busboys and Poets. He also produces several comedy shows in the DMV area. Anthony currently host a radio show every Thursday at WLVS Radio called, Thursday Night Tea with Anthony, and can be found on all social media outlets

M.Lewis Music is a Georgia native with a passion for honest lyrics and expressive melodies. His performance record dates back 8 years ago when he began performing and hosting spoken word events in Athens, Georgia. Soon after he moved to Atlanta, Georgia where he began performing regularly in the city at several venues including Apache Cafe, Katz Cafe, and The Historic Douglass Theater to name a few. After two successful east coast tours and several festival appearances, M.Lewis Music relocated to the DMV in 2016. Since his transition he has featured at Busboys and Poets, Pure Lounge, Takoma Station, Avery's, and Culture Coffee. His biggest musical influences include Nina Simone, Etta James, Lauryn Hill, and Kelly Love Jones.

For two hours, audiences can expect a diverse chorus of voices and a vast array of professional spoken word performers, open mic rookies, musicians and a different host every week. Expect to be moved, expect a packed house, expect the unexpected, but above all come with an open mind and ear.
$5 Cover. No refunds. Ticket purchase limit of 4 per person. Guests must have their wristbands (tickets) on upon entering the event.
Seating is available on a first come, first seated basis. No saved or reserved seats are allowed. Failure to check in within 30 minutes of advertised start time may result in a forfeiture of seats.
