DETAILS: Seven storytellers will have 7 minutes to tell
a true, personal, funny story on the theme "saucy" (whatever that means to you). No notes
or props are allowed. Story must not have been performed before
at one of our contests or tournaments.
The Judges' pick
for FUNNIEST story will be announced at the end of the night
and will receive a $150
Cash Prize. The audience will also select its funniest story.
Both winners go on to compete in the 6/27 Story League ALL-STARS
Tournament, where the prize jumps to $300! And the winners will
also be featured on our podcast, "Story League WINNERS" (https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/story-league-winners/ id789423889?mt=2).
Deadline is Wednesday, April 9 at 3 o'clock. Our 3 expert
judges will consider all story idea submissions and decide
which stories they most wish to hear. You will be notified by
Friday, April
11, whether you are guaranteed to go
on.
Also: 2 storytellers will be
selected randomly at the contest.
Pre-selected storytellers will be strongly encouraged to
do a phone coaching session for their story.
IMPORTANT: Seating cannot be guaranteed for any ticket
holder after 9:00. Line forms approx. 8:30
