"From #DCFerguson to #DCStatehood- Fighting for equality from your living room, on-line, and in the streets." The panel will discuss how different mediums have been used effectively to push forward other social justice causes and explore ways that the the D.C. statehood movement can learn from and adopt similar tactics in the fight for equality for citizens of the District.Â
The panelists will include Clinton Yates, columnist for the Washington Post, Veronica Davis, small business owner and bicycle advocate; Eugene Puryear, a activist and author; and Sarah Anne Hughes, Managing Editor of the Washington City Paper.Â
The moderator for the panel will be Josh Burch, co-founder and organizer for the group Neighbors United for DC Statehood.
