Cabralista, A Documentary Trilogy
Africa World Now Project teams up with Institute for Policy Studies for a film screening and discussion inspired by the opus of Amilcar Cabral, one of Africa’s foremost anti-colonial leaders and thinkers who led the movement of Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde Islands to independence.
Cabralista, A Documentary Trilogy, directed and produced by Valerio Lopes, reveals Cabral’s fantastic theories and ideas in a spotlight. Following the screening will be an in depth discussion led by Mr. James Early, member of the Board of Trustees of the Institute for Policy Studies and former Director of Cultural Studies and Communication at the Center for Folklife Programs and Cultural Studies at the Smithsonian Institution.
