The DC Metro area is full of nonprofit, social sector and non-governmental organizations. Some do great work, and others don't. Wouldn't be it be nice to know which is which? Moderator Marc Gunther and our panel of experts from GuideStar, IDEX and Feedback Labs will weigh in on the impact measurement trend that is having profound effects across the nonprofit sector.

Jacob Harold is the President & CEO of GuideStar, the largest source of data about nonprofits. Jacob came to GuideStar in 2012 from the Hewlett Foundation, where he led grantmaking for the Philanthropy Program. He has also worked as a climate change campaigner for Rainforest Action Network and Greenpeace USA. He has an MBA from Stanford and a BA from Duke.
Jennifer Lentfer is the Director of Communications atIDEX - International Development Exchange, the co-author of The Development Element: Guidelines for the Future of Communicating About the End of Global Poverty, and creator of the How Matters blog. Jennifer has also advised and written about monitoring and evaluation at the American Red Cross, Oxfam America and the Firelight Foundation. She has a BA from Nebraska Wesleyan and a Master's in International Development from Pitt.
Dennis Whittle is co-founder of GlobalGiving, where he was CEO from 2000-2010. Currently he is director and co-Founder of Feedback Labs, a consortium of like-minded organizations committed to making governments, NGOs and donors more responsive to the needs of their constituents. Dennis served recently as Executive Chairman of Ashoka Changemakers, and he has taught at UNC-Chapel Hill and at Princeton University. He received his MPA from Princeton and a BA from UNC.
