Join us for this Halloween special open mic, where we encourage poems that speak to or of the supernatural, spirits, ghosts & ghouls, monsters, witchery, and all things weird and freaky! Don't have any poems? Then share your favorite ghost stories, or bring some O.P.P. (other people's poetry/prose)
In addition to this fantastic night, filled with a specialized halloween menu for drinks and eats, we are also having a costume contest, where the best Costumes will have a chance to win Cash Prizes & a Busboys and Poets Gift Card for dinner for 2!

Slli’m is a born and raised DC native. He’s been killing slams and rocking stages throughout the nation for more than a decade with persuasive engaging vocal arrangements. When invited to join the Busboys and Poets hosting enclave, he did so happily. He continues to join his peers in the pursuit of poetic mastery, actively attacking audience boredom with action packed antics full of love and laughter, aimed at the abdomen. ... Encouragement!

For two hours, audiences can expect a diverse chorus of voices, and a vast array of professional spoken word performers, open mic rookies, musicians and a different host every week. Expect to be moved, expect a packed house, expect the unexpected, but above all come with an open mind and ear.
$5 Cover. On the day of the event, tickets can be purchased online here starting at midnight and in the restaurant starting at 10:00 AM (cash only). No refunds. Ticket purchase limit of 4 per person. Tickets will be sold at the door if available. Guests must have their wristbands (tickets) on upon entering the event.
Seating is available on a first come, first seated basis. No saved or reserved seats are allowed. Failure to check in within 30 minutes of advertised start time may result in forfeiture of seats.
