Politics & Prose at Busboys and Poets 14th & V welcomes Ari Rabin-Havtto present the new book Lies, Incorporated: The World of Post-Truth Politics.
Working with Media Matters for America, a progressive research and information center, Rabin-Havt, the organization’s former executive vice president, shows how special interest groups and politicians have engaged in a campaign of misinformation over the past sixty years. Looking at issues including tobacco regulation, public health care, climate change, gun control, immigration, abortion, and same-sex marriage, Rabin-Havt, who hosts the national radio show “The Agenda†and has served as an advisor to Harry Reid and Al Gore, argues that ideological groups have willfully deceived the public, and his exposé is a stirring call to action.
