As President Kennedy’s 100th birthday approaches on May 29, 2017, the Kennedy Center has challenged everyone living in the United States to write an original play of 500 words or less examining his legacy as it lives on in the country today and responding to the call, “Ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country.â€
To help guide those who are new to the process, we are deploying playwrights across the DC-area to offer their expertise. Want feedback on your tiny play before the February 19th deadline? Have an idea for a tiny play that you would like to bounce off someone? Need a couple tips for getting started? Make your way to any Busboys & Poets Poets, select DC Public Libraries, or the Anacostia Arts Center and chat with one of our playwrights!
RSVP Recommended but not required. Call (202) 416-8835 or email kced@kennedy-center.org. More information on the Tiny Plays for Ireland and America Playwriting Challenge can be found at https://apply.submit.kennedy-center.org/submit/60502251-c49d-4836-b147-0f0799805b2d
