Pub Theology: Episode 2
This month we have the incredible honor of welcoming Dr. Beth Norcross to lead our discussion. After receiving a B.A. in mathematics and a Master of Forestry from Duke University, Beth spent the early part of her career working as professional staff for the U.S. Senate National Parks and Forests Subcommittee, then became Vice President of Conservation for American Rivers, and eventually returned to school to study the interface between ecology and theology at Wesley Theological Seminary. Her Doctor of Ministry dissertation explored the National Parks as sacred ground.
Grab a drink, pull up a chair, and join us as we talk about life, faith, philosophy, and deep questions of meaning.
Good conversation.
Good beer.
Pub Theology.
*A special thanks to our supporting churches Mount Vernon Place UMC, Asbury UMC, Foundry UMC and Wesley Theological Seminary!
**We are asking that everyone bring a wash cloth to donate towards the shower ministry that happens at Mount Vernon Place UMC- a ministry dedicated to offering showers, a cup of coffee, and community to our homeless neighbors in a way that dignifies and supports them.
