FERGUSON ACTIVIST CORI BUSH HONORS THE DREAM of Martin Luther King, Jr. by bringing her message of hope, justice and opportunity to Washington, D.C. She will share her journey from growing up in St. Louis, being homeless and surviving abuse to becoming a nurse, an ordained pastor, and a frontline activist demanding justice after Michael Brown’s death in 2014. She will discuss her vision for honoring the dream.
Cori believes that the dream of Martin Luther King, Jr. did not die on April 4, 1968 when he was assassinated. Fifty years later, she is sharing her vision of the fight for freedom, justice and dignity today so that others can join her in bringing successful revitalization efforts made in Ferguson to communities across the nation and fighting for justice, livable wages, universal health care and investing in America.
