NE'A POSEY
"LIVE! from Busboys" Talent Showcase & Open Mic at 14th & V
With her uniquely sounding soprano voice, Ne'a Posey brings a sense of humility to her songs through her messages of self-love, and respect, and connects with audiences because she sings about situations that they can relate to. She has studied under Jazz recording artist and Professor of Jazz music, Darrel Grant, and has been trained in classical music. Her musical inspirations include Billie Holiday, Cassandra Wilson, Lauryn Hill, India Arie, and Rachelle Ferrell. Ne'a has sung the National Anthem at numerous professional league-sporting events, performed at the White House as a special guest, and served as an opening act for the hip hop band The Roots during a tour stop.

RYAN WALKER
"LIVE! from Busboys" Talent Showcase & Open Mic at Shirlington
Ryan Walker is the constant songwriter behind the Washington, DC-based band The Beanstalk Library. On their acclaimed local debut "America at Night," (2007) which received unanimous accolades from local press praising the record for its eclecticism and strong songcraft and production, the band has explored classic pop and roots influences and welcomed contributions from other notable DC musicians, including members of Exit Clov and These United States. They've been compared to the sounds of bands such as Big Star and Wilco. The Beanstalk Library has built a loyal following, playing regular shows at DC venues; Busboys and Poets, Black Cat, Iota, Jammin' Java, and Rock and Roll Hotel.
