Middle East Peace Discussion: A Rabbi’s Path to Palestinian Solidarity

Rabbi Brant Rosen, a congregational rabbi in Evanston, Illinois, and author of 'Wrestling in the Daylight: A Rabbi's Path to Palestinian Solidarity', will discuss his transformation from a “liberal Zionist” to an engaged Palestinian solidarity activist.  He launched his blog, “Shalom Rav” in 2008-2009 to stimulate dialog about Israel’s punishing invasion of Gaza that year.  Newsweek named Rabbi Rosen one of the top 25 Pulpit Rabbis in America.  He co-chairs the Rabbinical Council of Jewish Voice for Peace.  With Gaza under assault again, Rabbi Rosen’s personal journey challenges us to reflect on how we can best promote peace and justice.

Suggested donation:  $5 to support the ongoing events and activities of the DC Metro Chapter of Jewish Voice for Peace.
