Amazon Watch Inaugural DC Benefit Celebration

Amazon Watch presents its first ever benefit celebration in Washington D.C.  The evening will feature the Amazon Watch founder and Executive Director, Atossa Soltani, as she offers insight into the current state of the Amazon rainforest and the grassroots struggles to protect the rights of indigenous stewards therein; an exclusive photo exhibition by world renowned conservation photographer, Cristina Mittermeier, including her breathtaking photographs of indigenous communities along Brazil's endangered Xingu River; and a celebration of fifteen years of achievements for the people and rainforests of the Amazon and a launch of new initiatives to advance alternatives to large dams in the Brazilian Amazon, secure land rights for indigenous peoples in Peru, and bring clean water to oil affected communities in Ecuador.  Admission is free, open to the public, and you will have the opportunity to support Amazon Watch's tremendous work.  Please RSVP to rsvp@amazonwatch.org and click here invite your friends!
